44. BUT....when dissent becomes treasonous...
Edited on Tue Apr-06-04 01:17 PM by leftyandproud
the line is crossed...

I saw a post just yesterday where someone basically said they hoped more US soldiers get killed in Iraq...they hope that we (the U.S.) "gets its ass handed to it"...that we need to lose many more soldiers just to teach us a lesson. Or the lefty proffessor a while back that wished for "a million mogadishus" against the imperialist US forces...stuff like that. I'm sure you've seen the protest pics that get plastered all over right wing sites...scenes from peace rallies with socialists holding "I LOVE NEW YORK (even more without the twin towers)" signs...or "We support our troops (when they shoot their officers)" Crap like that...people who hate Bush and the war so much that they hope we lose, and actually grin when we have casualties in Iraq, because it makes the right look bad. There is a line, and a minorities of those on the left who cross it end up making all of us look bad. When you look at extremes, it's more apparent...the extreme right is major nationalist (GO USA...CRUSH THEM! GOD BLESS AMERICA! NUKE IRAQ!) As wrong and dangerous as these people are, they aren't calling for the end of capitalism...They aren't calling for the abolition of the military or the defeat of the USA. The hard left does...and this makes it easy for them to paint all democrats this way.
