... that he had accumulated in eight months -- an average of 76 a day, EVERY FUCKING DAY. For someone with that many posts, he had absolutely nothing of substance to say. Thank DU for the "snooze" button.

It's not the size (of your "posts" number), it's what you can do with your posts that matters. Speak when you have something useful to say and leave the BIG post numbers to the idle obsessives among us.

Having said that, I am approaching 1,000 posts, so I can be a bit verbal myself. I keep remembering when I first moved to the country in middle Tennessee 25 years ago, full of myself and ready to share "me" with any country folks who didn't move from the front porches of the local country stores fast enough. It took a while to learn that when they said "Well..." every time I stopped for a breath, it was shorthand for "Well, have you finished yet?"
