9. Once I saw 50 in my own rearview mirror
I stopped being shy about the advance of time...thirty petrified me, forty made thirty look like babyhood, but when the big five-0 went by I took ownership of my geezerhood.
I wore those gift T-shirts that identified me as a grandfather rightside-out finally, and last month I told the glasses lady "Progressive lenses will make me look younger? I was thinking the wrinkles and grey hair might be tipping 'em off first....Gimme them lined bifocals!"

Geezer Power!!
