Reply #22: Mosely Braun Not Clean

As a Chicagoan, I have had personal dealings with the Braun Campaign of the early nineties. I had been assigned to repo her rented computers and made several visits to her HQ. At the time, I was a supporter and was prepared to "fail" in my quest. I wasn't being a jerk or disrespectful but she and the goons she was surrounded by were extraordinarily rude. Also, as I was hanging around the HQ waiting to talk to her manager, I heard some of her senior hanchos make racist comments. I'm not expecting you to take my hearsay to heart and I'm not a dew-eyed idealist incapable of accepting the fact that the world is all shades of gray. All I'm asking is that, before you wholeheartedly jump on the Braun bandwagon (whose wheels are falling off anyway), look behind her rhetoric and be skeptical. I think a ticket with Braun would be damaging to the party.
Locally, we've heard more dirt than has been aired at the national level, especially in regard to her staff.
She was an excellent ambassador to NZ! After Bush is defeated, an ambassadorship would be perfect for her. Let's continue to push for females and minorities on our tickets not just in supporting roles but at the top. It WILL happen eventually. But Braun ain't the real deal.
