... that Miller was a confirmatory source for the information, and was in on the exposure of Plame. She will likely be named as part of a conspiracy to expose Plame for the purposes of discrediting Wilson. Why? Because Judith Miller was the most prominent member of the press promoting the administration's lies regarding Iraqi WMDs. Wilson's remarks not only injured the administration's credibility, they also called most of Miller's pre-war reporting into question. Her reputation was at stake, as well.

She had motives parallel to those of the administration.

She's not being hung out to dry. She's doing her best to protect her own interests--no different than the administration is doing now.
