138. Forget Network Broadcast - Target With FTA Free To Air Satellite
Oy! I would suggest that saracat and others would forget about using network television to broadcast --- I believe that it would be more cost efficient to instead harness limited financial and human resources toward creating programming for targeted audiences via FTA (free-to-air) satellite transmission. The key here is getting your national and state parties to commit to the FTA idea:

Here are several advantages that FTA satellite transmission could offer to political-minded groups:

 • national or state party organizations could utilize FTA to effectively provide local training (e.g. poll judges, election, officials, campaign management, registering new voters) to party members across the nation;
 • county campaign offices outfitted with FTA nad television sets could invite the voting public to view undiluted campaign programming;
 • you can leap-frog around the cost for traditional capital and programming expenses associated with a nationwide network of television broadcasting stations across the United States with FTA satellite programming by focusing on programming and satellite transmission of the signal directly to the targeted audiences;
 • FTA accomodates digital. high-definition TV and audio signals are are good to go for today's modern HD televsion sets and HD ready monitors;
 • complete FTA satellite receiver systems (dish, FTA receivers, etc.) are relatively inexpensive (starting around $200.00 in the U.S.) and require the consumer to pay no additional subscription fees;
 • computers can be upgraded with FTA cards and receivers.

I am also including a few specific FTA links if anyone else here would like some addition info:

Signal Hill Trading Company

Sadoun Satellite Receivers
