You sing it to the tune of "Johnny B. Goode."

Up north in old New England, in Connecticut
We had a governor whose name just turned to shit.
It took nine years until the people saw the light
But then it got us mad, we were up for a fight.
The House investigated Mr. John G. Rowland.
The people told him, “Governor, you’d best get goin’.”

Go-go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Never come back.

He peddled influence for a huge gift or two.
The wealthy benefited, but not me or you.
And then the reek of bullshit just became too great.
We don’t want such corruption in the Nutmeg State.
They tell me that a fish rots from the head on down.
John G. Rowland, please get out of town.

Go-go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Never come back.

We’ll soon have a new governor named Jodi Rell.
I hope she pulls us out of this corrupted hell.
As for Rowland, I think I know what he’ll do.
I’m pretty sure he’ll get a job offer or two.
Given his experience, he’d fit in well
With Cheney, Ashcroft, and Rumsfeld.

Go-go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Go Johnny go.
Go! Never come back.
