MSNBC:~"65% say opinion of W not changed by Clarke testimoney..."

Loste quote shrunk to fit subject line. The story on the Newsweek poll is below.

MSNBC reported that yesterday. They said that 65% of those who responded have not changed their opinion of W due to the Richard Clarke testimoney and coverage. Of course 17% say their opinion is MORE negative and 10% say it is MORE positive.

At first I thought, "Wow W is actually weathering this storm" and then it hit me.......65% said their opinion hadn't changed which means if their opinion was negative before it still is and actually is MORE likely to be more negative. Notice also that 8% didn't respond in any way.

According to the latest NEWSWEEK poll, the percentage of voters who say they approve of the way the president has handled terrorism and homeland security has slid to 57 percent, down from a high of 70 percent two months ago.

Still, the president’s overall approval rating remains steady at 49 percent and Bush remains neck and neck with presumptive Democratic Party nominee Senator John Kerry.
