27. Taking a comment out of context is really dangerous.
Unless Moore really knows what was said and what the other comments were, it's really unfair to paint someone with a "Fuck the UAW" brush.

Maybe they were about to agree on some point, and someone said that the UAW would never go for that, so Rahm responded "Fuck the UAW." To me, that wouldn't mean REALLY fuck the UAW. That to me would mean...we all agree on this point, and if the UAW, whose jobs we're trying to save, won't go for it, that's too bad. We've gotta do what we think is right to save the jobs.

Or maybe he DID mean just "Fuck the UAW" generally.

Thing is...it's not really fair to quote someone when (1) you're not sure if the quote is correct, as Moore admits, and (2) you don't have any of the context or what the statement was referring to.

Would you want yourself quoted that way, and blogged about? Have we forgotten so soon the lesson learned by the lady who was seen on videotape saying she was racist against white farmers seeking monetary help?
