There is really a thing about the winner writing history. How can one class the bombing of cities that were not war making centers as good places to bomb to the ground yet, Japan, Germany, Brits, and USA all did that and it is madness just to think what happened on the Western Front in WW1.Most of the time if you bring these places up people do not even know what you are talking about. That is one of the sad parts of the Middle East. I know of Am. that have never heard of the Ottomans but in the Middle East it is in their face and in their minds. I have been there and they still talk of the Turks.
