What's really sad is that they have no idea how much people would love them if they just fought back a little bit.

If the Democrats in Congress would just stand up to bush consistently, their approval (and support, and contributions) would surely go way up. It's crazy. What if, say 10% of the public approved of bush? Can it be that the Dems would still be afraid?

That trick they used to deny bush the opportunity to make destructive recess appointments was good, but needs to be multiplied by a hundred and joined by some major acts of defiance.
