I think that I live in the meth capital of the US (NE/TN NW/NC rural). This area has such a high concentration of meth labs that my county has stated that 70% of children live in meth homes. The stores cannot put Sudafed or gasoline additives on their shelves because of theft. A child came to school one day and said that he and his sister had to sleep oputside in a tent because of what daddy was cooking in the trailer. I do agree with you on one thing; this is a horrily terrible drug that ruins everyone it touches. Marijuana is a non issue.
