49. Yes, and there are many more specific acts of deception.
It is time for the Dems to call a spade a spade, and let the chips fall where they may.

Kerry has been reluctant to do that so far, in part because of his own vote for war resolution, and in part because so many of his personal backers supported the war. Some supported it because they saw the attack on Saddam Hussein as being in Israel's best interests. Others supported it to avoid being called weak on defense. Still others bought the WMD lies hook line and sinker, and now are ashamed to admit their own gullibility.

Well all these reasons are so far washed overboard by the storm of great events on the ground in Iraq, that it is now a fool's errand to try to cater to each of these refined sensibilities all the way to election day.

Many Kerry supporters need to wake up, smell the roses, admit their mistakes in backing the war, and give John Kerry room to wage an aggressive campaign.
