According to what I could read for free, the study is talking about how black and white people actually view racism in different ways. Many white people view racism as a zero sum game...if racism against one group goes down, the racism against the group that was oppressing them must have gone up.

Mostly what I wanted to read from it was if the group was randomly selected samples from the general population, or whatever remained of the group used for the initial numbers. If it's the latter, it would change the story dramatically, since the study would be based on white people many of whom fall directly in the Fox News Is The Truth And The Only Truth demographic. If that's the case, stupid conservatives that react well to race-baiting and "Why won't these fucking kids pull up their pants and get off my lawn with their hippy hoppy music" rants would have much much higher representation than they do in the general population.
