120. Because that is the only way we can use the veto and at least hope
to stop some of this. If we let them have it all back there is no hope of saving anything. Oh sure America might wake up but for a great deal of people in line for the rethug death panels it will be too late. The daughter I am worried about is not just ill she is one of many developmentally disabled persons who this would effect drastically. I have lobbied for the programs that help this group for years. If we let them have government back in their hands and we lose these programs they will place this group back into institutions where they can let them die like they used to do. People like my daughter do not fit into their perfect little world. That is why I will work my ass off for victory in 2012.

If by any chance you think that working for Democrats will make me less likely to lobby for the issues I want then you are wrong. But I also know that first before I can succeed we need to keep the government in our hands. I promise I would be the first person to vote for a third party candidate if I thought they had a chance in hell of winning but they do not. So I take what I can get and work to make it better.

What I will not do is blame everything on President Obama. He received one of the biggest messes this country has ever been in when he was elected. He did not get the large majorities he needed in congress to make the changes even if he meant to. And a lot of people on this board absolutely ignore the things he was able to do. Especially getting a health care bill passed when no president since Truman has been able to. No it is not perfect but it is a start. I was around when Social Security was passed - it was not perfect either. We fixed it and we are going to have to raise the caps to fix it again. But none of this will happen if we cannot keep government in our hands. That is why.
