47. Which might be relevant if he was only referring to the Sherrod story

Note that I'm not saying that it is. They still tried to paint her as a racist and did not research their facts that would have disputed it. They played the edited tape because it suited their agenda. They played a tape from a guy who gave them the ACORN tapes (also racist) which were also proven to be highly edited and false by several state AGs.

Then they started going after the White House for hiring her and tried to paint them as racists rather than doing their job like CNN did and getting the facts about what she really said. So they can cram any pretense that they are innocent here. I don't care when they played it. Their behavior on race over the past several years is appalling and Dean is right to point it out.

But Dean was not just talking about the Sherrod story according to the article.

Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean accused Fox News of promoting racism, including in the recent fracus over the Obama administration’s forced resignation of Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod.

Note the word "including". He accused Fox of promoting racism and it is obvious that they have been for several years now. Nothing wrong with that, no matter how hard Wallace tries to deflect.
