Should Phelps' vile attacks on dead soldiers be rewarded with court fees? Court says yes

So, Fred Phelps and his band of hate-spewing loonies decide again to protest at the funeral of an American Marine who'd died in Iraq.

They show up waving signs saying such drivel as "Thank God for dead soldiers" and "Fag troops."

It's beyond abominable. So, of course, a court today (Monday) rules that having had his $5 million verdict tossed out, the father of Marine Lance Cpl. Matthew A. Snyder must now pay Phelps legal costs.

Okay, first off: A sincere apology to the Snyders. Phelps is from the Midwest, Kansas to our eternal shame. We breath the same air. Share the same general spot of Earth.

But, man, we wish we didn't. He's a vile human, and for him, we apologize.
