Mangano himself has dealth with hypothyroidism in his research but I don't have a handy link.

However, the research is extensive on the impact in general.

Frankly, because the researchers believe cancer is higher profile, they have not made as much out of the hypothyroid problem from this exposure (also it is harder to establish in many ways because the half life of I-191 is pretty short (less than a month which means it is undetectable in several months and usually only by a biopsy).

I have actually discussed this with some of the researchers (I interviewed them and participated in an Earth Day event where some of them participated) and they feel the cancer stats should rouse people to action while the hypothyroid issues are not as alarming (as they are subtle and not imminently deadly - they kill over time)
