Typical modus operandi adopted by abusers, narcissists, radio hosts, and your garden-variety Republican operatives: Wring hands while tearfully declaring one's victimhood, while staying on the offensive 100 percent of the time. Foment resentment, encourage us-versus-them attitudes, and intone piously about bringing people together, a la Glenn Beck, or about bipartisanship, in true GOP shtick.
