However, the kicker the right is going to throw back is that their opposition: 'If smart people didn't speak down to "not so smart people" would we learn a thing or two?'

We learned from W that criticizing his (lack of) intellect only solidified his base. The base needs to be peeled off by pointing out her record: way-way-way-out of the mainstream on abortion; ethics questions; addiction to earmarks; in the pockets of big oil; and on and on: http://www.truthout.org/article/palin-faces-laundry-list-complications

Nothing that she said in the last weeks tells me how I can afford heating oil this winter or how my family can afford healthy food or adequate health insurance coverage or tells me how my neighbor won't lose his house any other pressing issues that effect the large majority of families in this country.
