Once again the conservatives are trying to squeak by on a technicality that they want available to no one BUT conservatives.

Personally, I find all flag desecration abhorrent, whether using it as scratch paper to sign autographs or burning it as a symbol of protest.

But since this is still a free country (albeit less so than it used to be), we ALL should have a right to desecrate a flag -- presidents and protesters alike.

The point of us making an issue of it is the HYPOCRICY of flag desecration by a president who wants to amend the Constitution to ban flag desecration.

To paraphrase Carville and Begala, It's the hypocricy, stupid.

By the way, what the hell IS a regulation flag?
