Well, now that Carol Lam has been pushed out, they'll let the fur fly with no prosecutor to nail people like Wilkes to the wall as much had she been around! Mark Geragos must be asking for a tidy sum from Wilkes for him to default on his loan here. Anyone want to try and buy ADCS's old headquarters building cheap?

Contractor in Cunningham probe defaults on headquarters
Associated Press

POWAY, Calif. - A defense contractor linked to disgraced former Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham has defaulted on $12.1 million owed on its corporate headquarters.

Wilkes Corp. is headed by Brent Wilkes, who remains under federal investigation after Cunningham admitted accepting $2.4 million in bribes from defense contractors and others. The former Republican congressman was sentenced in March to more than eight years in prison.

Union Bank of California plans to sell the building in this San Diego suburb at public auction Feb. 1, according to a legal notice published Thursday in the Poway News Chieftain community newspaper.

A call to Wilkes' attorney seeking comment was not immediately returned.
