12. The media has touted McCain and Guiliani as
American heroes for a long time. Thus the favorable - if misguided - impressions. McCain has been kissing extreme right wing ass as of late and I think the 2008 nomination is his to lose. Winning is something else again. He's old. He's survived multiple bouts with melanoma. There are embarrassing photos of him hugging the chimp. He's flip-flopped all over the place. An effective Dem truth telling campaign would hurt him badly. Guiliani might as well pack it in now. The repukes are never going to nominate a guy who flaunted his mistress and had gay roommates. They still need the fundie vote.

The media is building Obama up, hoping for a Hillary/Obama ticket that would be an almost certain loser.

My dream ticket: Gore/Clark. They've already thrown everything they possibly could at Gore and they were scared shitless of Clark in 04. The two would make a powerful team.
