war is actually a positive (under a theory of 'just war')? Just want to make sure I understand where you're coming from before responding.

There are certain times when I personally think war is a necessary evil, e.g., the U.S. Civil War and World War II. But most of the time, war doesn't "solve" anything and merely sows the seeds of an endless cycle of violence.
