3. What am I to make of these links?
That there is Terrible violence in Iraq? And as in all fucking wars civilians take the brunt?

Killing the civilian populace has ALWAYS been the way to win a war. I never questioned the veracity of violence in Iraq, my issue is with the DUers who seem to accept, as the revealed word from On High, any propaganda which reinforces their belief that the US should not be in Iraq.

Nw, while their conclusion the US should not be in Iraq is correct, I groan everytime I see something like this:

(taken from the parent thread link by leftchick)

A source at the office of Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr in Najaf told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa that US and Iraqi forces raided Khan al-Nis township and that US forces opened fire at a speeding car killing two and injuring three of its passengers.

Just because this unnamed source said the US shot those people doesn't make it true. I just ask that my fellow DUers use the same skepticism when looking over a internet story from someone like Al-Sadr, that they do when listening to fat-faced Scott McClellan.
