to try to block out awareness of the latest Plame-gate revelation, i.e., that Cheney authorized Libby to violate U.S. statutes. (You can read about this on numerous DU threads right now.)

Even if the plot was revealed by Mohammed, one must consider the possibility that Mohammed was tortured and the whole plot was "given up" just to bring the torture to a stop.

Hasn't everyone here realized by now that, *'s fascist nature notwithstanding, he presides over the 'gang that couldn't shoot straight'? IMHO, after we invaded Iraq, al Quaida didn't have to do a thing, because we were doing all their recruiting for them.

In a way, this is very old news also, as there were numerous stories months ago that a "second wave" of attacks had been planned but plans scuttled b/c of the huge success of first wave and need to plan outside the air travel industry for future attacks.
