bill in 1997 to TAKE AMERICA BACK FROM SPECIAL INTERESTS.

Possibly you have been unaware that Kerry has advocated for public financing of campaigns since he entered the senate in 1985.

Perhaps Gov. Dean submitted a letter of support for Kerry and Wellstone's bill, as governors sometimes do, and I am the one who missed it.

Very sad that the Senate chose to ignore Kerry and Wellstone's bill for the less obtrusive McCain-Feingold.

Very good that several states have now adapted that Clean Elections bill for their own elections.
