2. This is a good thing. It means workers and Iraqis will make more money
from the oil that belongs to them. It means less money for everyone else in the chain, which means more political power for people and less for huge corporations.

Oh, and notice that the politicians in Basra represent the interests of the people. That's the government to whom the British turned over political control the first week they were there. No surprise that the US was pissed off, and we can see why.
