neither of those instances would confirm Mehlman as gay. They are tired old stereotypes which are more befitting our Repug counterparts.

The gay community has tutu wearing, mechanical mouse enjoying members, but so does the straight community. I would say that having proof of Mehlman dating a man, having sex with a man or the solicitation of either of those would prove sufficient.

Also, this is not about merely outing people. It is about holding them accountable for their actions as traitors to their own community. If they are so selfish as to seek gain at the detriment of the entire gay community, then they do not deserve the safety of the closet.

As we know, the Jeff Gannon debacle was not about him being gay but about him being a prostitute. The same is true for Mehlman.
