116. Are they somehow under the impression they're OPPRESSED?!
I mean, the whole point of Pride celebrations of any sort was for people to come out from under historic societal condemnation and/or oppression of something intrinsic to their nature and CELEBRATE it. Black Pride celebrations arose out of people refusing any longer to be oppressed because of their skin color. Gay Pride arose out of gayfolks refusing any longer to be shoved into the closet and told to be ashamed of who they were.

Straight folks don't NEED a Pride celebration. That's goofy. They aren't oppressed, no matter how much they think it's oppressing them for others to be permitted to exist.

Clue bus, coming through, folks. I mean, nobody much cares if you want to celebrate your position on the Kinsey continuum, but it's kind of like making a big deal out of getting a white male elected President. Um, that's kind of been the default, fellas.

At least, if I were on campus, it'd let me know for sure which guys I would never date. I prefer guys who are not quite so rigid in their sexuality, myself.
