I'm guessing there is more to this story than this.
The man - "of Middle Eastern descent" - probably wasn't even Middle Eastern. But, even if was, I'm guessing there was more to the exchange.
Methinks we need to write NBC5 and ask if they've talked to the employee and find out what the young Lance Corporal said to him FIRST. My ex is Middle Eastern and refused to serve a customer during the first Gulf War after he called him a "sand nigger." The regional manager forced my husband to serve him and so, my ex walked over the pizza dough before making the pizza. Hope the customer liked the added crunch.
