249. I hate to break it down to this...
...but truth be told...I'ts all about getting laid. when you mention breaking it down to the root...these women mentioned in the Essence article are doing exactly that. From a young mans point of view, what is on their mind (no matter what sexual orientation) is sex. If a young woman says, hey it's all right if you call me a bitch and a whore I'll still have sex with you, what does that do? It reinforces that behavior in the young man and desensitizes the young woman...leading to more of the same. Now if the Essence thing is part of an overall zeitgeist that brings a change to the hearts of young people...guess what? The young men are still going to get laid! They may even notice that they will get even more action if they stop the Ho and Bitch stuff. I was young once (I'm 38 now, not old, but definitely not a kid) and no matter how I paint the picture of my youth...there was that constant need for the affection of women. If women start holding out for some better treatment, there will be a change. Frankly it's what makes the world go round.
