With the 5 p.m. deadline for ballot certification approaching, Senate candidate Ken Buck and Rep. Mike Coffman this afternoon became the latest Republicans to pull their support from gubernatorial nominee Dan Maes.

"After having a lengthy conversation with Dan Maes, it is clear to me that Dan is struggling to determine the best path for his campaign, his family and for Colorado," Buck said in a statement. "I have decided that I can no longer support his candidacy for governor of Colorado."
Coffman used his statement to take a shot at Democrats.

"It is because of my concern for the working families of Colorado that I am asking Dan Maes to quit the governor's race," he said. "Colorado can't afford to have the Mayor of Denver as our next governor who would continue the failed policies of Bill Ritter."

The Republicans continue to eat their own. I hope Maes says 'F' them and ignore the pressure and let the crazies split the vote and give Hick a easy win.
