The Ugandans have taken full charge and responsibility for the inner security of Camp Victory, the US military base in Iraq.
An electronic publication for the US Department of Defence co-ordinated by the Public Affairs Office of Multi-National Corps-Iraq recently highlighted how Ugandans are taking over the responsibility of guarding the gates of the US’ biggest camp, Victory Base Complex.
The publication, Victory Times, said the Ugandan team will protect most entry control points through the base and they will also be in charge of “every aspect of inner security”.
