Reply #61: I've had a few panic attacks there

Walmart is within short walking distance so I have been in there several times to pick up quick items, like one would pick up at a convience store.
I only get panic attacks occaisionally. That is the only store that I've had full blown panic attacks in and multiple times at that even though I go to other stores more frequently.
I mentioned that to my therapist and said that some of her other clients had the same problem. She thought that it had to do with the crowdedness of the merchandise coupled with a large number of people. Long lines don't help either. I don't know if it is just the local store or not, but the check out clerks are slow, unlike grocery store clerks who seem to be much quicker.
