7. Which is the the point entirely.
I re-listened(?) to a Michael Parenti lecture on Fascism the other day. He mentioned how the fascists intended to use revolutionary sounding names and slogans to appeal to class anger without producing an actual revolution that would change the power structure.

What better revolutionary sounding name than calling something the Tea Party? Does it not fall into the above statement?

13. Yes, I know WHY they're doing it.
They are tops at fooling their stupid base. I don't think for a second that they care one whit about the Constitution - except for the 2nd Amendment, of course.

10. If they are wanting to do stuff that has never been done before.
Then why don't they masturbate while C-Span broadcasts?

Right, it's just something that plays into their warped fantasy world
where they idolize things like the flag and the Constitution, but hate or don't understand what they mean.

5. To me this indicates just how far out of touch they are - they have to
read the constitution. One would have thought they would have been familiar with it before elected to office. I never cease to be amazed.

16. It's a teabagger litmus test thingy...like demanding that
the pledge of allegiance is said before a meeting. Or that candidates wear a flag pin 24/7. It's pretty disgusting.

and how damned ignorant they sound. It is clear that with a few exceptions, most do not know what they are reading, have not taken any time to read and understand it beforehand. They are just stumbling through the words on the paper and could be reading obituaries from China for all it matters.

20. Maybe not....
The way most right wingers mangle the Constitution I've often wondered if they have read it.

Now at least they can claim they have read it...

Next they will give the campaign promise to understand it.

22. I like how they aren't reading the 'bad' parts like the 3/5's clause.
Reason given because there is an amendment that 'cancels' it out.

Don't want to be reminded of the bad things, let's just airbrush it all into a Kincaid 'painting'.
