We talk too damned much!!!!
IMHO

People need a simple explanation,...SIMPLE SOLUTIONS.

We feel compelled to go on and on and on, UP FRONT, about our solutions rather than promote visions and ideals.

People, generally, DO NOT WANT DETAILS (and,...the intellectual talk talk talk puts people asleep).

Moreover, people WANT to ask questions, have a discussion and,...if we stalk with talk in advance,...well,...

I'm just saying,...offer a simple solution (with a plan under wing), shut the f up, listen, allow others the power to ask, and be helpful by answering AND if you don't have the answer, for crying out loud ask others to be a part of finding the answer.

People are hungry for a leader with a vision that INCLUDES the genius of the people.

1. Simple solutions usually aren't.........
What you need is to educate the populace.

9. The "populace" don't need to be treated like they're stupid.
The most "intelligent" have done a pretty shitty job at improving the lot of life in this country.

Maybe, the "intelligent" ones could learn a helluva lot from those who possess experiences of survival novels couldn't tell.

2. Communication didn't used to be this easy
It used to be that if you wanted to get your ideas out there you had to go out there. But today we can all sit in our safe little houses and post our grand ideas to those who largely agree with us already. Its really quite easy.

3. I can't disagree with you more
Simplistic talking point black and white slogan solutions are the reason America finds itself in the state it is in today.

If anything, we need to embrace more nuanced intellectualism.

7. The problem is though
That the ease of finding like minded people on the internet means that we don't have to work to get those around us to consider our ideas. For those of us that desire intellectual exploration the wealth of places that it can be found effectively takes us out of our local community.

4. Maybe they should learn to care about detials!
I'm sick of the spoiled brat American public! They don't want to deal with the details? Tough tacos. Reality bites. But it's not optional!

8. umm, at the possibility of getting yelled at -- I disagree
I WANT details. I REQUIRE details. And even more -- I REQUIRE representation that takes the TIME to review DETAILS and pass them along to ME.

How many of our representatives READ the ENTIRE Patriot Act?

We've been sitting back and allowing these people in Washington to supposedly vote in OUR best interest for FAR TOO LONG.

As Al Gore mentioned tonight -- I want EACH and EVERY VOTE in Congress and the Senate on PRIME TIME. I WANT EACH and EVERY Bill being presented to Congress ONLINE and ACCESSIBLE to EVERY person in the US.

And I want EACH and EVERY earmark tucked into a bill SIGNED by the person doing the tucking.

I'm not willing to sit back and *trust* any of these bastards anymore -- NONE of them.

10. You are exceptional. Most have little time for details but still want to participate.
People WANT the opportunity to PARTICIPATE.

Cutting people off by talking too damned much does NOT earn any trust or confidence,...does it?

What I am saying is this: a truly confident leader will invite people to solve our problems rather than shut them down with a lecture PRE-PLANNED to end discussion.
