205. Of course it's a trick!
Expose hiding Republicons... yeah!

And not a straightforward yes/no poll either where a sneak no can be registered.

As for voting for Bernie Sanders... you know what the answer is, and I don't have to post it. Shame there are not enough commonsensical people in DC, and luckily, Senator Sanders does have common sense.

I wish somebody would do a study comparing Socialist country's tax rate compared to ours. I think with all the hidden taxes , ours would be comparable. We get very little now for our taxes.

300. That is exactly true. We (the people) actually get less for our greater contribution to the
total economy than Europeans precisely because of the inordinate "share" taken by those on top.

We also have to directly "purchase" from the corps much that is paid for by taxes in Europe.

There probably is research "out there" that shows this...

338. Me too!
when do we start? How can I help? If you look at the history of FDR and the new deal it was only because of pressure from the Socialist party that existed at that time that FDR adopted much of their platform and reforms to benefit the people were enacted. I believe the Democratic party today lacks pressure from an organized left and so they move even further to the right and only want to please the corporate interests in this country. If all of the different groups that form what can loosley be called the Left joined together and started to form another party (a Progressive Party) it would put put pressure on the Democrats to start acting like Demicrats. Look at what happened with the Tea Party (even though, for the most part theri movement was manufactured), the pressure, the support they got from the base forced the Republican Party to take them seriously and move farther to the right.

Get the nonsense out of your head that a country is a corporation...

WE ARE A NATION...DO YOU STOP FOR SOMEONE WITH A FLAT OR NOT? DO YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR FELLOW CITIZENS? I just got an email for a person I hardly know who sent out a general email to every class mate she has taken a college class with. She is down to her last buck and is trying to sell her furniture. She just happened to mention that her computer broker and cannot work from home any more. I offered her an Apple G4 my brother gave me...I don't even know her last name!

Ill Fares the Land

Something is profoundly wrong with the way we live today. For thirty years we have made a virtue out of the pursuit of material self-interest: indeed, this very pursuit now constitutes whatever remains of our sense of collective purpose...

I sure in the hell would; for Senator.

He's can be very pragmatic as he voted for the HCR,
and stated clearly that Impeachment of Bush was off the table.

He's got a good head on his shoulder,
but practically speaking,
if he ran for President of the United States,
he could not, nor would not win but Vermont in the general election,
if that.

But it's fun to think he could, I guess.

Sorry if I'm not walking in lockstep
with the latest "Who's our hero de jour?" sentiment!

257. To represent me in my state, yes, but as a presidential candidate he would be a sacrificial lamb
with no chance of winning. The point of having a presidential candidate for your party is to have one who can actually win and not just one you can feel all warm and idealistic about (I feel exactly the same way about my own Senator Feingold). Sometimes you think you have both and then realize you were wrong.

he is everything that I would want in a leader.

all of the labels that people have really separate us........I think that Bernie's message is really congruent with many Americans, but they are too steeped in misguided lies to know what is best for them

He is truly an amazing man

288. He values people above power, wealth and politics
He is one of the most knowledgeable and compassionate statesmen in our government. He tells facts and it's refreshing to hear someone in our government who is compassionate, knowledgeable and uses facts in his speeches. The Corporate masters would never allow it, but I would vote for him as President. He could def give Boner and Miss McConnell a run for their money. Just because there's snow on the roof, don't mean there ain't a fire in his belly. Nothing like that doddering, lying old, flip flopping fool John McBrainless. I'll take someone who has compassion for people and is not fact challenged, over any power hungry, money grubbing, backstabbing, lying hypocrite, two faced,Fraudulent FOX GOP Network Republicon Corporate Thief any day of the week. Unfortunately, Senator Sanders doesn't fit the suit the corporations have tailored for past, present and future Presidents. The reality is, both sides have corruption and are on the take, but the Republicans are pure evil, lying, power hungry pigs. The democrats seem to care about the real people once in a while whereas the Republicans make no apology for despising those who are poor, middle class and unemployed. They have no compassion and most of them just seem mentally ill to me....a few sociopaths, some psychopaths and more than a few Anankastic Personality Disorder (Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder) several Antisocial Personality Disorders (Dissocial Personality Disorder)
many I fear have a combination of the following disorders. Borderline Personality Disorder (Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder)
Histrionic Personality Disorder
Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Paranoid Personality Disorder
Schizoid Personality Disorder and so on. I believe that most Republicans, FOX GOP Corp, most of their viewers, Beck, Limbaugh, Palin, Hannity, Bachmann, Murdouche, FAiles et al have one or more of these mental illnesses. It's just a guess, but their actions and words speak volumes and volumes of mental illness. And they get paid millions to use their mental illnesses to effect their mentally ill viewers to elect more mentally ill teabagging Republicons into our government and judgeships all over the country. How sick is that? Some of them actually hear the voice of GOD. Yikes!

303. Democratic Socialism is Great
I spent some time in Norway. I never saw anyone living in a trailer, or a shack, or a slum. The entire country reminded me of one big National Park. The only people I met who were unhappy with the system were some wealthy shipping executives who were bitterly upset about how much tax they had to pay.

Funny system. All the middle class people were happy, and the rich ones were miserable.

Go Bernie!

It's way past time for people to seperate democratic socialism from the image of totalitarianism.

The most laughable thing going on now with socialism is the righties incredibly calling Obama one. That shows the sheer gullible stupidity of the tea bagger types.
