So the sun did come up after all.
My perspective: in 2008, 44 House districts sent a Democrat to Congress while simultaneously voting for McCain. Yesterday, we lost those, plus a few more.

A few months ago, I thought we'd hold both chambers. I was wrong, for the reason stated above, and for a few others (the Democrats' inability to cobble together a coherent message being tall among them).

I should have known better, and now I do.

But the sun came up.

So did I.

So did you.

Back to work.

2. There is more the message is
when you vote and work like a republican they will elect a republican.

The other is... WH messaging SUCKS... major ass.

The media will paint this as worst than... we both know it. Many folks round these parts are ready to go into fetal positions... I am not.

We can do it, but it would help if the base is not thrown under the damn buss...

3. I fully expect some people 'round here to damn folks who say that.
Folks who basically say what Truman said years ago.

4. We shouldn't have relied on WH for messaging... weak DNC hampered us.
Under Dean, we had a strong national message in 2006. WH messaging was not going to play in places like Texas and Florida and Arizona. We needed a strong, local Democratic presence on the ground in those areas. Dean provided those areas with Dem resources, staffing (that was knowledgeable and had local roots) and funding. Not to mention he had party officials on the ground recruiting candidates and helping to build name recognition. We also had wealthy liberals willing to pony up to help the cause. Now Soros and others have decided to hold on to their $$$$ for now.

Sucks. We've got two years to fix this #hit in time for 2012.

I see no other solution but for the Prez to issue a mea culpa and beg for Howard Dean to come back to the DNC and fix this mess.
