Gay Group (GOProud) Launches Anti-Dem Ad

Gay Group Launches Anti-Dem Ad

By Michelle Garica

GOProud, a conservative gay political group, has launched an ad targeting three Congress members as the clock ticks toward election day.

The ad, a satire based on the Real Housewives of D.C. series on Bravo, paints Massachusetts Representative Barney Frank as "catty" and California Senator Barbara Boxer as "arrogant." The ad also includes a sound bite of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who predicted change when the Democrats took control of the House after the 2006 election.

Jimmy LaSalvia, GOProud's executive director, said in a statement Thursday, that the ads highlight "the embarrassing and arrogant approach of Democratic leaders in Washington, and reminds voters that the record of this Democratic Congress is a dismal one."

LaSalvia adds that the spot is the first put up by a gay group that foes after Democrats, and will air in California, Massachusetts, Hawaii, and New York.

Talk about voting against your interests.

Hmm.

By the way, how's DADT doing these days?

4. It's unfortunate, but there are many gays who only look at their tax returns.
Most of them are rich, living in cities with established gay communities, so who the fuck cares about those teenagers in small towns.

There's a few Dems that should be criticized for their lack of support for glbt issues, but not these three.

6. Yeah, after I logged off, I realized that it sounded like a swipe against them.
It was pure, generic snark, I assure you.

3. A LGBT person voting GOPuke would be like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.
Jew voting for Hitler, African-American voting for David Duke, etc.

Like a Republican will do a better job at standing up for gay rights than Barney Frank... please.:eyes:
