9. Sorry. I'm not better than that. At least in this instance. I have never believed
in evil, but I really have wondered since observing Cheney over the years. It seems as though his heart has been dead for a long time, and he showed no empathy for all the lives he's affected. I'm usually a soft touch, but this is easy for me. I want him to suffer.

It so happens that he's also very effective at getting done the hideous stuff hatched in his defective brain. He should be stopped from doing his evil works, but he should not suffer. The Creator just made him that way.

24. You are so right. To wish for someone to suffer, and to rejoice in it,
even someone who is as evil, despicable, and inhuman as Cheney, is to take away some small bit of our own humanity. In that way it brings us a little bit closer to being like Cheney. To mock him at this time is to become more like him!

As Democrats we are better than that, and as human beings we are better than that.

too damn many people saying we have to take the high road. We have to be better than that. It's ridiculous to say it's what makes us Democrats. I'm a Democrat because I'm a liberal. And as a liberal, I believe that people should be allowed to express themselves verbally even if I don't agree with what they're saying. You don't have to dance on his grave, but you should not admonish people who do. What you can do, is ignore their comments.

If you can't mock the death of a person that had a hand in the deaths of hundreds of thousands and the torture of hundreds(maybe thousands), who's it ok to make fun of? I'm sure it would upset his family, but from what I've seen they're all scum too.

75. Wait a minute--we're talking about dickhead, right?
I thought you were referring to a human, not a disgusting, scheming, ratfaced lying sleazebag.

I don't give a fuck about being "better" than them--dick is evil, and after 8 years of being subjected to his visions of doom and gloom, I only hope he gets payback for all the fuckups he's been in charge of for all that time. His constant lying, subterfuge, conspiracies and greed have lead the US to the deepest abyss of life in this country, with those lies leading to a pre-emptive strike in Iraq, Halliburton, and Blackwater making possibly billions of dollars from deals made with the Iraqis, thousands of deaths of both military and civilians, and untoldpain and suffering.

Hate Dickhead? YES. And he deserves only as much consideration as I'm sure he would show to me--or any of us--as I would give to an ant. I'm not forgiving, and I don't give a fuck what happens to him. He shouldn't be alive anymore anyhow, as I'm sure the devil demanded his soul a long time ago.

79. The one thing I wish to say about Mr. Cheney and his LVAD...
That piece of technology is the only thing left to circulate enough cardiac output in his ever-increasing inability to sustain that hell of a thing we must recognize as his life.

Isn't it strange how instrumental this human error of DNA was from the start of Bush 2 in bleeding out the cor fluid of the earth?

Here we are trying to patch up the resulting errors stemming from an energy policy he allowed the industries to control. Now, we get to foot the bill for Cheney's left ventricular assist device. We pay as he goes, and His industries allowed t run amok can't plug the earth's biggest failure.

What a criminal. No wonder that pump of his is dying off a little more each day. I hope he enjoys the run up to staying out of CHF. I hope all of you tax payers love paying for it. Mostly, I hope he lives a really long time with CHF because I know what he's going to be going through.

Mr. Cheney. You can run, but you can't hide from what your own body is doing. Oh, yes, you deserve life. That, and SO MUCH more.

People who do so are no better than the server who spits in a rude customers food. Neither actions are anything to be proud of.

I hope Cheney recovers and retires peacefully with his friends and family.

Mao Zedong, Joseph Stalin, or many other individuals that put their boot down on the human race while they were alive and left a trail of misery and tears everywhere they went? Is Cheney spared this condemnation in your mind because he's an American?

94. If grave dancing could prevent the aforementioned activities
If grave dancing could prevent the aforementioned activities, I'd be all for it. Yet as it can't, it is at best, merely a waste of one's time.

On hearing of the death of Duvalier, I merely noted his passage and then went back attending to those things I needed to attend to. I cannot imagine what positive consequences (other than a base and visceral satisfaction... which advertise more about me than Duvalier)it would result in.

102. I'll tell you what
When you've lived the life of an Iraqi civilian that has watched their country destroyed, their family members killed, their environment irradiated and poisoned, their countrymen tortured, then come back and preach that oh so enlightened philosophy to me. As far as I'm concerned, all that turn the other cheek forgive and forget bullshit only serves to keep the oppressed down and prevent them from fighting back because "they have to be better than their oppressors."

We're human, we have feelings, we get hurt. When people do this to us it makes us angry, and you know what? THAT'S OKAY. It's okay to be angry and it's okay to hate when you've been royally shit upon. And if I choose to feel that, then that's my mother fucking right as a human being.

It's hardly an enlightened philosophy. Merely one side of the human condition as you so aptly illustrat the other side. Who is denying your rights? I see merely suggestions and conversations.

89. Look at the bigger picture
beyond the physical entity of Dick Cheney. The evil that he spawned lives after him. His criminal actions and stealth presidency will have consequences for decades, maybe the whole century. The death of his physical body does not end the suffering of millions.

"Grave Dancing" = just a small Final FU from the hugely fucked over. A healthy ritual exorcism.

As for recovering and retiring "peacefully" with his friends and family...he deserves none of that.

Cheney's legacy and what he stands for--ie. the symbolic aspect of the man--is what we should fiercely in the strongest language, OPPOSE FOR ALL TIME. Make him a pariah in history, similar to the H-man. That is what he deserves.

is way too easy for him. The fat fuck deserves much worse. If this makes me a not so good person, well, I can live with that. But I'm tired of pretending that I don't hate these men with the fire of a thousand suns and wish them all the torment they can possibly endure and a bunch they can't.

Cheney can go to hell, and every moment of misery he experiences is music to my ears. And I have no intention of giving that up.

I think I'll go play with my Dick Cheney voodoo doll now. Maybe it's working, 'eh?

110. Go ahead and vent. It will make you feel good.
Should cheney die he should roast in hell for eternity. He is an example of how low and how base a human being can be. That this country and this administration sheltered him from prosecution is a stain that the country and the white house will not erase.

See you can complain about what an example of dung he is. But celebrating death is not a good thing. It only feeds the other side. But if you think your personal desire to grave dance is more important than what might be good for the party, go ahead. Being selfish is a good way to celebrate the life and death of an extremely selfish ass like cheney.

And man you should have seen the responses when I said so. Kind of like what you are getting in here only I seemed to be the only one at the time. Except for the mod who finally locked that thing.

Will the world be a better place when he is gone? YES. Will I be happy? YES. Do I need to celebrate like some kind of morbid tea bagger? NO.

If it were a Democrat who was sick and the Freeps had a "death watch" thread all these people who are celebrating Cheney would be hammering the freeps for their tasteless crap.

107. Well if you can't say anything nice...
sit next to me!!

There are people with whom I disagree with politically, but are good and decent in general.

And then there are people like Cheney that have no redeemable features at all. I think a large part of the glee comes from the fact that Cheney will never be punished legally for his actions. So his illness is viewed as the only punishment he will receive. People are delighting in the fact that he won't get away entirely scott free.

Personally I'll reserve my concern for people worthy of it. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to dig out my dancing shoes. They haven't seen any action since Falwell died.

112. I find it hard to hope that someone will die.
I think it's bad karma to hope for someone's death. Maybe Cheney's an exception for me. I don't know. I'm having a hard time having any compassion for the man who I think was the puppet master during the Bush terms - all three of them.

But I try to remind myself that this man has family members, etc. who will be saddened by his passing. I try to feel compassion for those family members.

Even still, I will totally admit that I know that I'll feel safer when he's gone, because then I will know for sure that he can no longer cause people to die.
