The left hates the spending on the war, the right hates the stimulus spending. How about we
compromise and cut both by 100%. And whenever the recession ends we dedicate 50% of increase of tax revenue above a baseline to debt reduction.

Do you have any concept of how close we came last year to seeing the economy stall out? Do you have any idea the role government deficit spending plays in a declining economy? We are the party of FDR and Harry Truman.

Hey, guess when we did the most deficit spending? WWII. And it ended the Depression.
