7. I googled "citibank memo plutonomy" -- there's some interesting commentary in other
places. some having to do with gold speculation, which is interesting b/c who could read this memo and come away with 'gold speculation' being the point of interest?

10. To a gold bug, everything is about gold speculation
I can see where they are getting that. References to gold being $800 and climbing.

11. It is a theme in Capitalism
Edited on Sat Oct-03-09 03:33 PM by Ruby the Liberal
Internal Citibank memo about the trending of the rich to get richer, the gap between rich and poor to increase and how they plan to replace our system of democracy with a "Plutocracy" (a term they coined) and how they should capitalize on it.

If you go to that link in the OP and scroll to page 10, you will see exactly why Moore made the movie.

Edit to add: It is a single paragraph, halfway down the page under the heading Risks: What Could Go Wrong

12. Citi Bank's report on how wonderful it is that 95% of the wealth
is controlled by 1% of the population.

It has this beautiful gem

"Whilst the rich are getting a greater share of the wealth and the poor a lesser share, political enfranchisement remains one person one vote"
