The burden that we have asked them to carry is way way too much

3. I really don't know what is keeping these guys from turning on the generals
and commandeering airforce transports planes en masse.

2. disgraceful how they are using our troops, it is shameful
these men in abuse of power who were never involved in a conflict, are using these men, and destroying everything.

4. There is some concerted effort underway to destroy our military
is Bush some Manchurian candidate that is eventually going to open the Golden Gate to a million Chinese soldiers someday? Getting these troops used to constant war is the plan. People in prison get more chances at conjugal visits with spouses.

5. How are these troops and their families hanging on? This is unacceptable.
Meanwhile, the War Chimp just had a relaxing vacation at the "Western White House"

6. there will be another extension after this one. There simply are not the troops to "surge"
any other way. And we have learned the "surge" will continue thru the fall.....

7. The real crime is that they are making the military units the nuclear family,
while the wives and children are becoming extended families. I think that there is a real danger that the soldiers will come home and feel the "need" to reunite with their units and be distant from their families.

Just thinkin'

8. 3 months really is more than a lifetime there
I don't know how many stories I've read of troops being killed hours after deploying in Iraq. It's just too, too much. Our military really is broken thanks to this psycho in command.

9. A SURGE IRAQ COMMANDER DAVID PETRAEUS WANTS TO EXTEND!
THE STRESS ON THE ARMY HAS BEEN COMPOUNDED BY THE SURGE
OF ADDITIONAL FORCES THE PRESIDENT ANNOUNCED IN JANUARY --

A SURGE IRAQ COMMANDER DAVID PETRAEUS WANTS TO EXTEND.
SENIOR OFFICIALS TELL ABC NEWS THERE'S CONSENSUS AT THE
PENTAGON AND THE WHITE HOUSE THAT PETRAEUS IS RIGHT, THE
SURGE NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR.

THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO DO WITHOUT EXTENDING THE TOURS OF
THOSE ALREADY IN IRAQ, OR DRAMATICALLY CUTTING THE TIME
SOLDIERS SPEND BACK AT HOME.
