Nothing is an accident. What's with the Rush Resurgence?
Clearly we're hearing far more about Rush and his ideas than we want to. Clearly this is not because he has change his tune or his schtick.

But what the fuck is up?

Did Obama mention him by way of poking a stick in his eye to stir him up? Or did Rush somehow goad him into it?

How fucked are the repubics that asshats like this Gingrey guy

go on Limbaugh's radio show, suck him off in public, and then literally beg for forgiveness?

He is the subject of what have become de rigeur 'nooz' stories on every network.

Every repubic who gets a moment of air time refer to him as an entertainer (wink wink), plead ignorance of his latest utterances, then proceed to spew it word for word.

Suddenly the noozers "discover" the word "dittohead" and see it as a good - or at least kewl - thing to be.

Again I ask ... what the fuck is up?

1. So, repubics "aren't following the commands" of Rush (and Drudge), but
"Democrats are slaves to the Hollywood elite", just because the "Hollywood elite" actually agree with what the Dems try to do?

3. Power Vacuum in the GOP right now
being filled by Rush the Gasbag.

The Repubs are adrift at sea--they just don't know it or won't acknowledge it yet.

4. I think Rush's rating are higher when Democrats are in power. He can be the
"outside agitator" speaking "truth to power" (a repub version of it anyway).

He prospered under Clinton, because he had someone to rail against. It is easier to attack what the party with the power is doing than it is to defend what your party is doing. He had a hard time deciding when to protect Bush and when to claim that he wasn't being conservative enough. No such decision for him to make with Obama.

It will be interesting to see how Keith and Rachel (and others) handle the choice of "protecting" Obama and criticizing him for not being liberal enough (hopefully not very often :) ). They didn't have to worry about that with Bush.

6. Limbaugh Republics. That's what I'm asking people when....
they are obvious right-wingers. Are you a Limbaugh Republic? If so, we want to live in different worlds and there is no need for us to discuss anything.

I think more reasonable republics (I know it's juvenile, but their now ingrained use of "Democrat Party" irks the shit out of me) don't want to be associated with him, and it will cause a further rift within their so-called party.

Unfortunately, I do fear THOSE types are going to get even more rabid. It certainly started immediately. Hatred all around and growing by the minute. Very disheartening and much worse than during the election, in my experience.

7. People have an inevitable thirst for 1970s Canadian prog rock, what can I say?
Oh, I'm sorry, you mean that Rush.
