A DUer discovered that "Joe" the "plumber's" real name was not Joe I was wondering if anyone was up to finding out who "Ashley Todd" works for? I suspect that since she's from Texas, she's may be someone's staffer (DeLay? Rove?). Although it is just as likely she's simply a college Republican and volunteers for McCain.

Although, it would be nice to know before the story gets buried.

She had some "twitter" updates and comments about the attack and being in PA. I find the whole thing fishy. She gets mugged and runs away. But then she claims the mugger followed her back to her car. I don't personally know any muggers, but if I were going to mug someone, I'd probably get the hell out of dodge after they got away. Then he becomes so enraged at her McCain-Palin sticker that he carves a B into her cheek. Now we can assume that the mugger hasn't been living in a cave the last few months and has seen many McCain-Palin stickers and signs. Why don't we have an epidemic of someone branding PA republicans with B's? And if he was so "enraged," why didn't he just beat the shit out of her instead of branding her? And if he was going to take the time to do so, why wouldn't he do it right?

I don't think she works for anyone other than the College Republicans. A nut job doesn't have to get orders from a higher-up nut job. I think she came up with this all on her own.
