1. Yes!
I think of what this country COULD be and it fills me with hope.

I think of what it is, and how people only want to get him "off the stage" or view him as a distraction, and it's a cold reality check.

We CAN do better.

Go Dennis! Never shut up.

3. Wolf tried to shut him up
as soon as he brought up impeachment.

They wanted to cut his mike right there.

Our media. I want to vomit.

45. I am STILL hopeful
that Kucinich has a shot at the nomination. However, here is yet another reason he remains my choice for President: even if he doesn't get in office, he will continue to work for the good of us all, even though most of us don't deserve his advocacy.

Kucinich is truly an astonishing, brilliant, honest man! In all my fifty-two years on this planet, I've never seen a candidate more clearly the BEST our nation could put in office.

BTW, I have asked my overseas friends if they've heard anything about Kucinich. To a one, they have not. Please enlighten your friends from abroad about Kucinich, and encourage them to support his candidacy.

2. GREAT SPEECH GREAT MAN!
Although I think it should be the big two don't want him in. The third one, is barely keeping himself in. If the decision process was done on one day by the entire nation with votes not any caucus, then someone like Dennis would have a better chance.

28. Too late ...
Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 07:21 PM by Gonnuts
We've already wasted too much time. I know this isn't something anyone wants to hear, but the pooch has been screwed. The point of no return has been pasted. The Rubicon crossed. The milk spilt. Cat's out of the bag, horse is out of the gate, and there ain't no going home again.

We might not have had time if DK was elected the last time he ran, but not anymore. It's a telling note to how far we've sunk that the best we have are ridiculed and ignored and the worst pushed to the forefront.

No, I'm sorry, get use to saying Pres. Clinton and get ready for more of the same-old-same-old and say whatever prays you want to whatever God you worship because the "good ship Humanity" is about to sink real fast.

And unfortunately Clinton is our best/worst case scenario. If a "false flag" attack occurs before the elections we could see any of the Rethug candidates spring to the imagined rescue (except Paul - but he'd be neutralized one way or the other) and leave the Dumbacrats scratching their heads once more trying to figure out how defeat got snatched from the jaws of victory.

31. It is an indictment of this nation that Kucinich is seen as "unelectable".
The one man who will stand up and tell the truth - always. The one man who will stand up and act according to his principles and conscience - always. The one man who says that the guiding light of every elected official, regardless of office, must be the Constitution - always. This man cannot be elected? Who the hell are we? What the hell have we become?

I am for Kucinich because he is for me.

38. It's really a universal thing. The best one rarely wins... in any election.
It's the same in The Netherlands, where I live, as it is in the US and most other countries (provided they have free elections). Only South-America seems to be on the right path in recent years, where candidates are elected who no longer represent corporations, but the poor indigenous people.

50. My thoughts exactly
The fact that a man like Kucinich could become marginalized in this election is a testament to the dumbing down of the masses. We've become a society more concerned with style over substance. This election is treated like another reality t.v. show where everyone wants to get behind who's popular, vs who's the best candidate for the people. It's also a reflection on the lack of compassion and morality in our society. If the American people voting for CEO (Clinton, Edwards, and Obama) had empathy for the 47 million Americans without healthcare, they would be getting behind the only candidate willing to exclude the insurance industry and provide single payer *not-for-profit* healthcare.

Kucinich is the only candidate truly for the people because he doesn't accept corporate donations, yet the American people keep voting for corporate America's puppets! It seems so surreal!

39. Even if everyone could hear his message and listen to him, he wouldn't win either.
Because he's not the candidate "you want to have a beer with". Because he doesn't look like an American Idol. Because he's too short. Because his wife is too young and she has a stud (actually heard ob DU!)... etc.

Sad, but true.

9. Oh the irony!
The right man in the right place at the right time.
And so efficiently shot down by the forces he promises to deliver us from.

I can't believe anybody else (except Gravel) would even try to rescue our democracy and lift this oppression. I can't give up hope, maybe people will wake up and actually take an interest in this election and our root problems and stop betting on the horse race.

Go Dennis, keep fighting for us!

over everyday life and has specific programs in mind to move in that direction." more...

Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 01:17 PM by quark219
"Now...now, here's the question -- here's the question!" Meaning: "Stop making intelligent adlib remarks that I can't control and squelch!" And then: "Thank you -- thank you, Congressman." Meaning: "Shut up already. You're discussing real issues that I'm trying to keep off the table. Shut up and play by my rules." Blitzer looks more plodding, dim-witted, and small-minded than usual in this clip.

19. Thank You... Stark Contrast is What Corporate America Does Not Want
and yes, they CENSORED HIM with the help of the Democratic leadership. Many democrats, not all should be ashamed. Nothing will change in this country unless we all stand up for what is right. Never allow fear to dictate politics. It screws the country as a whole when we do.

I hope the other candidates can learn something from Dennis' boldness and forthright honesty. We need a President who can challenge the establishment, not enable it or get bought out by it. We have already witnessed what happens to America when we do. Edwards sems to be going in that direction... I hope it's not fluff.

Dennis Kucinich's Fight to Bring Credibility to the Democratic Party
By Chris Hedges

In this interview, the resilient 2008 candidate attacks the "inside game between competing corporate interests" that dominates American politics.

41. Dennis is rock-solid, steadfast and principled.
Has cogent, well-thought-out ideas to solve the myriad of complex problems that are facing us today. He's perpetually been on the right side of practically every important issue of the past decade. Add to that, the fact that he shit-stomped the other wh*res-for-the-status-quo in EVERY SINGLE DEBATE, and you have all the makings of the first real leader of the millineum.

That he's been deemed "unelectable" says more about us than it does about The Gentleman from Ohio.

And it says that we have a lot to answer for...

49. Well said
Kucinich was right the FIRST time in voting against the Iraq war, the Patriot Act, the Chinese free trade bill, and the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste initiative. He was the only one with the courage and foresight to introduce articles of impeachment against Cheney. The fact that he's been deemed "unelectable" is one of MSM greatest strategies in undermining his campaign. THe fact that he's done so poorly in capturing the peoples votes, is a testament to the brainwashing power of MSM, and the dumbing down of the masses.
