3. Thanks Catch!
DKos has been hopping all day - I'm not to happy with my boss - I actually had to go to work today! I wanted to call in a political hangover but I knew he wouldn't buy it. I've only be able to do some drive by recs and tips.

Elizabeth was her stellar self on Hardball and John was awesome today on all the shows. I've also been reading the comments on some of the news rags and it's similar to here and Kos, John's not giving up and neither are we!

Go, Team Edwards, GO!

5. I was thrilled to see John on Count Down!
He did great, of course, but what made me happiest was that FINALLY John got some media coverage!

Elizabeth was terrific on Hardball too. I loved the way she told Tweety off. Then Tweety tried to soothe her by complimenting her smile. What a complete asshole he is.

6. Good answers,
and good questions. I loved it when Olberman commented about some others in the news media not reporting Edward's win over the former front-runner as a success!

10. EXCELLENT! Good to see John on Countdown and Elizabeth with Tweetie..
...and BOTH of them delivering their message loud and clear - AND both of the speaking to being ignored by media even though he came in second and BEAT HILLARY. I'm sorry but I think considering the lack of money and media - those things being stacked against Edwards from the outset - that is NOT a loss. It's INCREDIBLE that he came in second!

And I think it's likely it may be a two-person race (Obama/Edwards). And, I like them both. But I prefer Edwards, still.

17. Pay attention to how he's framing the players
Clinton is the "Status Quo" or, in other words, old news.

Obama is the only other "Change" candidate but his approach is "intellectual" and "philosophical"...somebody who"just talks about it, for whom it's more of a political issue...the politicians are going to do the political thing." Translation: more of the same old-same old.

I expect him to marginalize them both in the upcoming debates... and I wouldn't be surprised if one or the other doesn't get visibly pissy to their own detriment. As a trial lawyer, he knows exactly how to pressure those in the hot seat so they incriminate themselves in the eyes of public opinion. Break out the popcorn for the next exciting installment!

19. "the philosophical and academic approach of Obama" HAHAHA !!!

dude i am busting out LAFFIN !!! ROFLMAO !!! Philosophical And Academic Approach Of Obama !!! HAHAHAHA !!!

That is like when the Colts didn't make it to the Superbowl a few years back and the scuttlebutt was

"well, they're a FINESSE team" :)

Deadly serious about change, that is what the Democratic Underground is all about.

Let's abandon any illusions about Senators Clinton and Obama.

They are blocking for the other team as long as they stand in the path of this man's rightful place in the White House.

I have never been more confident in our chances !!!

22. Edwards is definitely my second choice as
far as candidates go....I still support Dennis Kucinich and will vote for him in the MO primary. It's my one opportunity to go into the polling place and proudly cast my vote. In November 2008, I may not have such an opportunity.

26. Kucinich bowed to corporate power
when he endorsed Obama - the ONLY candidate to state Bush and Cheney's actions do NOT warrant impeachment!

29. I agree completely... I was VERY disappointed in Dennis! He's obviously playing more politics now
than issues!

The ONLY thing Dennis had going for him was integrity and standards.

By endorsing Obama, and asking his supporters to vote Obama, he caved to the corporate power, which he *says* he's against.

I wasn't expecting that from him, and it definitely destroyed his integrity, as far as I'm concerned.

:(

24. Love the way Edwards is framing Obama "philosophical and academic"
approach to change.

I'm actually looking forward to this next debate; I haven't watched one in a while. Obama is clearly not as good on his feet as Edwards(and I have to give Hillary credit for being better than Obama, too) I think we're going to see some fireworks.

25. Obama preaches to us - Edwards empowers us!
With Obama, I keep looking for the beef!
Apparently, in our Britney/Paris MSM - "hope" is now acceptable as a political platform.
The media has given Obama a zillion passes. He's their guy!

34. You know i find that comment strangely true..
Obama is great speaker/communicator but I can't imagine him being able to accomplish what he says where as Edwards he speaks and its like if only he was in charge that would be truth...

32. is there ANYONE who can get a second in with John Edwards
Edited on Sat Jan-05-08 04:36 PM by themartyred
I had his 'ear' for 30 seconds a few months ago, and I know you kinda have to be in NH to get to him, or you have to be able to get a hold of someone who will speak to him, but I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY believe that if he points out to the voters of New Hampshire that Obama's 'change' mantra is merely philosophical (like I expect him to say in the debate) but ALSO to say that Obama has publicly said that Cheney's actions against this country do not warrant IMPEACHMENT proceedings to investigate it, that it makes it clear he hasn't been paying attention or he will be too soft because it is clear Cheney needs impeached from his VP role.

just sayin...

35. To be honest with you
I don't think any of them are going to actively talk Impeachment now... for one thing it is too late to actually happen... and although it may be waranted many Americans will see it as divisive... Anyway I believe they could probably get away with calls for more oversight and investigation into the miscalculations that the Admin has made..
