President Barack Obama pushed back against critics of his health care plan on Saturday with a stern warning that absent reform, costs will continue to rise and eventually devastate the U.S. economy. (Oct. 17)

I like this cartoon. Tea Party "Fundys" are greedy people that want to keep being greedy. LOL. I bet you none of them make less than $40k a year. I hope Obama triumphs, we really need it. I have not had health insurance for over 10 years. If everyone making the big bucks was paying into our Country's needs, I would have had health insurance for the past 10 years.

I like Obama's idea to tax the rich 100%! I make $22,000 a year working my tail off. I have no insurance. I live a simple life that feeds my family and I am very happy. He said the number should be $250,000; I totally disagree. It should be $40,000 or higher. Only the rich folks have money to send their kids to fancy schools; I had none of that. We have people and homeless starving all around the globe and in this country. What does $40K or more a year buy - oversized houses and cars and stuff for spoiled brats. That is why our landfills are so full - junk we don't need, but the TV and the profiters say we need to buy waste like snuggies. Greed is the root of all evil. I think Obama is acheiving alot to get this country on living right.

and I will be supporting you for all of your term as best I may.

You don't need to convince me. You need to hop on the Blue Dogs and the insurance lobbyists and let them know clearly, the party at the expense of average taxpaying citizens is over. We've got your back. I've been both calling and writing on behalf of health care reform. We may not get true single payer this time and it ought to be the end goal.

Once we're over this hurdle it will be time to reform the Wall Street casinos and protect the overwhelming majority of the country from their deranged sociopathic level of greed.

Profit is fine and the rigged crony capitalism and corporatism must be curbed. There needs to be real regulation that is enforced.
