Skinner and I took a short break from our parental duties and went to the final Obama rally in Manassas VA on Monday night. Many of you probably saw the rally on TV, but I shot a minute or two of video when he appeared (and yes, we were miles away from the stage), to give you an idea of what the vibe was like in the crowd.

That town is a red as they get.Assemblies of God(it's a fucking church that looks like a COMPOUND!!) and evangelidiot with a truck,Denny Nissley, butthole extrordinare hold parts of Manassas hostage.

I hope Obama gets the people there who aren't already sick of the right wing skanks and fundies to think and vote Obama.

Manassas is the only place where I have ever seen two 7-11's side by side on the same side of the road ,on the same road next to each other( They are right before the turn off to Sudley I think)
Ok and what's up with some of the funky lawn ornamentation out there.
Woah..interesting.And I'll never forget the KICKASS costume shop there,And MacKays books!

That is one strange town. I hope it's politics has changed.

Wow! What a crowd. Thank you Virginians! I am so stoked about this election. I am so proud of the democrats,independents,and the republicans that are voting Democrat this election. I was there last night as well. The energy in the place was amazing, especially when Kaine, Warner and finally Obama came out! When I looked behind me all I saw was a sea of people :). I was wondering how many other DUers were there last night.

After last night I was Fired Up and Ready To Go :). Canvassing went well this morning after we voted. I live in Manassas and am proud to say that the county where I live, Prince William, is being projected for Obama :D! I only hope that the rest of the state follows suit.
